Family and friends of the late Mrs Patricia Hoffmann are informed that the celebration of her life will take place at Zion Lutheran Church, Walla Walla on Friday 14th March 2014 commencing at 10.30am. At the conclusion of the service, the cortege will leave for the Walla Walla Cemetery.
HOFFMANN, Patricia Margaret – passed away peacefully at Dellacourt Nursing Home, Albury on Saturday 8th March 2014 aged 78 years. Beloved wife of Kevin (dec). Loving mother and mother-in-law of Greg and Christine, Warwick and Vivian, Kim and Ling. Loved grandmother of Christopher, Morgan and Sabine.
Loved and Remembered Always
Pat was a loving, kind and gentle lady. She was a wonderful support to work colleagues and her many friends. Pat was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
Many staff at Ashmont Public School remember Pat as a gentle, quietly spoken member of staff who enjoyed working with our students for many years. Our sincere sympathy to her family and friends.
I live in the United States – Pat and I became pen pals when we were each 12 years old; this came about through a Lutheran Church Sunday School paper. We corresponded, exchanged birthday and Christmas cards, Christmas gifts and pictures until about a year ago when Pat’s health began to decline. She came to the United States in the summer of 1997 and also visited me and my husband in South Dakota. It was special to meet her in person, after all the years of corresponding we knew so much about each other and our families, all we had to do was meet. It is sad to think after 66 years our friendship ends; I know she is in a better place and our sympathy to Pat’s family. God’s blessings to you all.
