Sad to hear of John’s passing, was a one of the knowledgeable tradesperson of his era .

To our family there today who we are unable to sit beside, just know our hearts are right there with you to farewell such a great man. We love you.
Although today is a sad one in many ways, David, myself and the kids will always remember Oder with such warmth and a big smile as he was always saying or arguing something or someone…guaranteed to make you smile. A truly beautiful man with a big heart.
Oder, thank you for all the love throughout our lives, rest peacefully and enjoy a few card games up there with Nonna Erina. -

Our Oder,
It’s hard to put so many moments and memories forward in this short space right now however we would like to reflect on the many so funny times around the table listening to stories and opinions from you and some of the reactions we heard and saw were priceless, sometimes it was difficult to simply stay on a chair. The food you prepared in the kitchen was always fantastic and when we were out in the restaurants, the jungle curries had us both in tears, it was a challenge keeping up with you. It was always a pleasure to drop in to see you and mum and talk about the news each other knew from sports to high technology and there was always a cold beer in the fridge ready to go. The travels in your life have been extensive from immigrating to Australia, being a family man and working as a painter also a fine one at that too, it’s been a busy 90 years Oder and on behalf of our family we thank you for sharing your life with us and looking after our mum so well as you have always done. You were such an honest genuine man and spoke your mind as you saw it which made you the person we loved. Keep looking for the specials up there Oder cause there are plenty of them they tell me, The memories will go on for ever and the kids will grow up looking at the photo’s and hearing the stories of Oder. Say Hi to Rob and Nonna Erina for us, till we meet again. Love – Frank and all the family. -

Oder always made us feel special whether we met in the street or at a function. A true gentleman. Carla, Samita and Paula, must be proud of being his beautiful daughters. May he rest in peace knowing that his kindness was one of his greatest legacies. With much love Katia and Marisa
