My heartfelt condolences to everyone mourning Uncle Les’ passing, particularly to aunty Nancy, my cousins Christine and Johnny and their extended families.
I am sorry I cannot be there today to lend my support and bid farewell to a much-loved uncle, of whom I will always hold fond memories of.
These memories go back to a very young age and will be held close to my heart forever. One of my fondest memories of which there are many, is Uncle Less sneaking his foxie into the house to sit with him by the fire, much to Aunty Nancy’s disgrace. But Aunty Nancy also understood how fond of his beloved dogs Uncle Les was and would turn a blind eye. Rabbiting expeditions, cleaning of the cattle yards post milking, throwing the hay bails off the back of the trailer to feed the cows, and many more.
In summary, I relished hanging out on the farm and would jump at any chance to go out with Uncle Les, soaking up his passion for farm life and admiring how hard working he was.

Uncle Less will be forever loved and live on in my heart.

    Athena xoxo
