Prayers of Christian Burial for the late Robert Ignatius (Bob) Nilon will be held at St Michael’s Catholic Church, Tallangatta on Friday January 29, 2016 commencing at 10.30am. At the conclusion of the service the cortege will leave for Tallangatta Cemetery.

TO BOB’S FAMILY
In our early days we frequently socialised and had great fun in Sydney. Bob was best man at our wedding in 1951.
He was a gifted student and quite often was placed in the top three in his class. He aspired to become a chemist but family disruption due to the death of our mother at the age of 44 years and leaving six of the children still of school age, coupled with economic circumstances, prevented this.
A splendid feature of Bob’s character was a determination to protect his family, especially his son Brett.
Bob’s work experience included agriculture (rice), wholesale meat and small cropping. Ex-employers praised him for his work effort, skills and loyalty.
He will be sadly missed by his many relatives and friends.
