Family and friends of the late Mrs Valerie Garland are warmly invited to attend the celebration of her life at St Matthew’s Anglican Church, Kiewa St, Albury on Monday 19th February 2018 commencing at 2pm, followed by a private cremation.

Beloved wife and soulmate to Ken. Devoted mother of Tracy and Fred, Jeff and Jane, Rosemary and Natalie. Adored Grandmother of Georgia, Lachlan, Evangeline, Dominic, Eleanor, Annabel, India and Olivia.

One of my happiest memories of Val is on the 25th October 1958 when I was her flower girl. Forever I have been proud to say I was part of that day. For many years I enjoyed visiting her. It started in Wantigong St when I did the short walk from Waugh Rd, sometimes collecting Tracy and Jeff then walking back home to visit Auntie Joan.
I always enjoyed a cup of tea with her, it was always in a fine bone china cup and saucer. I always took flowers to her (preferably pink roses). At the funeral I will be wearing the blue bird brooch which was a present on that happy October day. She will always remain one of my favorite people and I will never forget her.
