Dear Wally, Sally, Jenny, Julie and all the family,

We were so sorry to hear of Rae’s passing.

It’s a horrible time for you all but we hope you are all coping ok. Rae battled for so long and can now be at peace and finally go out for a well earned ‘spell’.

Rae was such a great friend and mentor to Kath in her teaching career.

I can still remember her love of the horses- Twice a day for months rubbing aloe vera all over Hannas Lass’s legs; taking Candy, Benny (not so much Jordy!) for long walks around the Showground. We had the odd disappointment but it was soon forgotten and Rae would be there the next morning to plan the next race! We had so many laughs and funny times- I can still remember Wally copping it from Rae after he tipped Hanna over in the float going round that bend going to Wagga races ( she had been telling him for 10 miles to watch the corner coming up and to slow down!). Rae didn’t say much but we all knew she was cranky even more so than the time Wally cleaned up the service station lights with the cart!

Rae was such a caring, gentle person and we are so sorry we can’t be there with you all on Thursday but we are thinking of you all and hope everything goes well. We remember Rae with such fondness.

Lots of love, the Hogans XX

Dear Wal, Sally, Jenny & families
I have just watched the beautiful service for Rae. It covered so many aspects of her life but the anchor in her life was always family.
My sincere condolences to you all.
I would also like to send my sincere condolences to Julie who was always a caring & special friend, especially as Rae was succumbing to dementia.
    Beth McPherson, Wagga Wagga
