Family and friends of the late Walter Derek Hanel are invited to attend the celebration of his life which will be held at the Evergreen Chapel, Lester & Son Funeral Home 359 Wantigong Street North Albury on Monday 9th May 2022 commencing at 2.30 pm.

We knew Wally as a True Gentleman, who showed Great Respect for those he loved, and he loved all his children, and their friends. Rejoined with his beloved Mae; Forever Loved, Forever Missed

So sad to hear Wally has gone. I have many fond memories of my time with him We used to play guitars and sing hillbilly songs. On the locomotives we used to play mouth organs to pass the time on our runs to Melbourne.
Condolences to his family. I will truely miss him.
