Petrol Pete, you were such a loving, caring, sharing and generous man who always helped others. You have had such an amazing life and lived life to the full till the very end. We miss our special times on the farm with you, the endless cups of tea, weather reports, market updates and amazing stories you told. We miss all your kind gestures of giving. Most of all we miss being in your presence but in our hearts, we know you are finally in a quiet peaceful place. Ewan and I are so glad we got to spend so much quality time and road trips with you in your final years. We love you, life is not the same without you and we miss you so much. RIP Our cherished Dad & Grandpa ❤️❤️❤️😔

Sorry I am unable to be at Walwa tomorrow.I know Peter will have a wonderful send off.
As a new Angus stud breeder almost 60 years ago I valued Peter’s help and advice. He
was so generous and so much fun.I loved the Upper Murray country and the characters
who lived there.I had some fun times with Peter such as rowing over to Alf Wright’s Dora
Dora Pub and our times at Sydney Show and in Tasmania.I have fond memories of Keith,
Helen and the family members and Jane and Gina who are all very special to me.

Sincere condolences to all the Sutherland Family on your loss of a wonderfully generous man.
I will always remember Peter as a great friend and one who always had time to help people who sought his advice.
He was such a character, full of fun and life.
His skills as a stockman, stud breeder and accomplished horseman are almost legendary.
Certainly one of the best steer judges in the land.
Not only could he pick them on the Hoof but at the Perth Royal Show all his Hoof Champions took out the Carcase Champion awards bar one who was Reserve Champion.
His ability on the microphone giving his reasons for placing animals he was judging was always both informative and entertaining.
So sorry I couldn’t be there to see you off Pete but will cherish all the wonderful memories.
