Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for the Repose of the Soul of Father Jim Victory will be offered at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 20 Hartigan St, Thurgoona on Thursday 13th December 2018 commencing at 11:00 am. A burial will take place in Broken Hill at a later date.

Peacefully at the Mercy Hospital, Albury NSW. Beloved son of Joseph and Mary (both dec). Loving brother and brother-in-law of Margaret and Eugine Cunningham, Peter (dec), John and Patricia (dec), Kathryn and Paul McIntosh, Jo and Phil Giles and their families.
I remember Jim with great fondness having grown up with him in Broken Hill. I cannot attend the Funeral Mass but will hopefully be in Broken Hill for the burial. My condolences go to all my cousins and their families from John McMahon and family.

Jim was my first Parish priest when I commenced my teaching career at Balranald. He was blessed with an incredibly dry sense of humour and a gentle caring nature and an uncomplicated faith.He will be missed.
A great man.
Father Jim was simply the finest man I ever knew. He was my parish priest for my first sacraments and a dear family friend. I am now 53 and he has inspired my faith for my whole life. A Catholic priest is to be the embodiment of Christ Himself and Father Jim was that. A huge loss.
Father Jim I never forgot you. Our lives went in other directions. But you voice and your friendship, your wisdom and your open heart stayed in my mind.. I was young and brash and full of it but you never gave up. You certainly changed my life forever and all my friends in the Forbes Y.C.W. The things we discussed still come back to me in my life today. May God bless you Father Jim.
