    Dear Garry, Patsy and Kathryn,
Our hearts go out to you. We are shattered and loved Emma. We both taught with her and she taught our eldest daughter, Tahlia, in Year 2 – she loved Emma so much that she invited her to her 8th Birthday party that year and Emma spent the whole time playing in our backyard with the kids. We have many happy memories of Emma, and take comfort in knowing she is at peace, all needs fulfilled, in the arms of absolute Love.

Dear Gary, Patsy and Kathryn, my deepest Sympathy and love on the passing of beautiful Emma. Em will always remain forever young and be remembered and loved by many. I loved her friendship, crazy sense of humour, long chats and her advice and support. She was a free spirit and is now dancing with the angels. It was an absolute pleasure to have worked with Em, laugh and build lasting memories. Em loved God and is now resting at peace in his arms forever. Love you always Em, Rose.

    Dear Garry, Patsy and Kathryn
Such a tragic loss of a fine young Christian woman. Emma was an amazing teacher who always had the best interests of her students at heart. She was creative, innovative and full of enthusiasm. I enjoyed teaching with her on Year 2 and having her camping skills come out when organising the sleepover in tents. I especially appreciated her patience in sorting out my IT issues. She was a friend and we shared lots of chats at 7.30am in the staffroom. May she rest in peace and you as her family be comforted by knowing there is no more pain for her.

Dear Garry, Patsy and Kathryn, I send my sincere condolences to you all on the passing of Emma. Em was my friend and also my colleague when I was teaching at St John’s. We had the privilege of working together, teaching Year 3 in 2012. She was a gifted, passionate and dedicated teacher. We shared ideas, chats, tears and laughs.

I have many wonderful memories of Em but our most favourite, that we always reminisced about together was the time I mistook her for a very bossy Year 6 kid who was telling the kids on the bus to sit down after our school cross country event. In my defence, Em was short, had her hair in a pony tail and was wearing a sports uniform top. Em later put the word, STAFF on the back of that shirt.

May you carry all the special moments and cherished memories of Emma in your hearts today and always.

‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.’ Revelation 21:4

    With love, Liebs (Cheryl Liebelt)

    Dear Garry, Patsy and Kathryn,
I don’t know where to begin. I am still trying to process the magnitude of the tragedy of Emma’s loss.
We still can’t quite believe it.
We first knew Emma as the amazing teacher of 2 of our children, then as my amazing, dedicated work colleague and most recently as a fellow newbie of the church we started going to at around the same time, and a passionate, honest, loyal friend.
I remember her as a deeply feeling, high achieving, energetic, fun loving person who had so much to give.
We dearly hope she is at peace now, free from pain and finally aware of how much she was loved and valued by all those many many lives she touched and made richer in some way.
She will be so very missed.
We hope God’s love and peace will fill you and comfort you and guide you through this devastating time.

So much love to the family and friends left behind. Em and I started teaching at St John’s the same year and shared many a laugh as well as some tears. An incredibly gifted and conscientious person who knew that teaching was so much more than imparting knowledge. She left no stone unturned in trying to find ways to ignite a passion for learning in each child she taught. Emma valued and believed in every child. It was always hard to convince her of her own worth but I believe she knows her true value now as she rests in God’s outstretched arms. Prayers and love to the family.

    Dear Garry, Patsy and Kathryn,
No words can express how sorry I am that you are now living a life without Emma in it.
I will always remember her fun-loving, dare-devil nature and I was familiar with her struggles with insecurity and doubt. We shared many laughs and tears together as friends and colleagues at St John’s, as well as later, after I had moved away. Emma visited a number of times and my girls adored her. She was quick to lend a hand, patient when sharing her skills, and it was an honour to call her a friend. I will miss her and remember her always. In loving arms.
Much love to you all and God’s blessings always. Ali Wedding

Emma today was one of the hardest goodbye’s I’ve ever had to make. I can’t help but feel like I let you down somehow. We love you and will always love you. You have left a hole in our hearts and lives that will never be filled. Everytime we see something Mickey Mouse we will always think of you. I hope that you are finally at peace.
