Dear Barb and family, My most sincere condolences on the loss of your Mum, Rita. She and Peter were patients at the Young Street Clinic where I worked and their friendship became an important part of my life. I will never forget when Peter heard of my late husband’s news regarding his health, he went straight home and came back and presented me with a beautiful bunch of deep red gladioli. It was such a precious moment for me After Peter passed away I often used to call on Rita, just to say hello, or occasionally bring her to my home for afternoon tea. She was such a beautiful gentle lady and I was so disappointed when I lost touch when she went to live closer to family. I often thought about her and the lovely chats we had over a cuppa. She will be sadly missed. A special lady now at rest with her Peter. I would love to be with you this morning but my health is not good and I am extra cautious about covid, but will be there in spirit and watching online.
