We lost a beautiful friend on Friday. A wonderful friend to me for twenty nine years and to Allan for ten. Your lovely kind nature and gorgeous sense of humour will stay with us always.
The last thing you said to us as you got into the lift at the apartment we shared with you and Colleen last year was
“Well l won’t be coming to Las Vegas to your wedding in September, because Colleen washed my passport!” The laughter from both Russell and Colleen could be heard even after the lift doors closed. That is a great memory to treasure and a typical Russell sense of humour.
We loved you in life and will love you as long as we live.
What words can we say to Colleen, His Angel on earth, Nikki and Janelle and their girls and Colleen’s family, that can adequately portrait the pain and loss you must be feeling now. Except to say, we feel your pain and grief too, because we loved him also.
So sorry we are unable to be with you Colleen on Wednesday as you farewell your darling but know we will be there in spirit.
RIP our darling Russell.
