Passed away peacefully on the 28th of December 2022. Beloved husband of Lynda. Cherished father and father-in-law of Stacey & Mitch and John & Jenna. Adored Poppy of Scarlett, Bill, Elsie and Kaitlyn.

Family and friends are warmly invited to the celebration of Richard’s life on Friday 6th of January 2023 at 10.30am at the Lester & Son Chapel, 49 Thomas Mitchell Drive, Wodonga.
A private cremation will be held.

    Dearest Auntie Lynda, Stacey, John and all of the loving family of Richard,

    We were so sorry to learn of my dear Uncle Richards passing and send our love and condolences to all.

    Uncle Richard made a big impression upon me during my late teens and early twenties, a particularly important time in my life, and my fondest memories are of him always making me laugh with his wicked sense of humour.

    As I live in the Europe I have not seen very much of Richard and the family for many years, too many years to be honest, so I was very pleased to have had dinner with him and Lynda in May during my last visit and despite his poor health he still had that larrikin spirit and made me laugh.

    I am very sorry that I cannot be at the funeral in person but our love and thoughts will be with you all during this difficult time, and I think Uncle Richard would want us all to have a bit of a laugh in his memory.
