    LARCOMBE
    Alan James (Larky)
    10.7.1938 – 15.11.2015
Passed away peacefully at Holbrook Hospital after a brave battle. Loved and loving husband and father of Audrey, Phillip, Susan and Kathryn. Father-in-law of Wendy, Garry and Rudi. Grandfather of Tom and Michaela.

    Never Forgotten

Dad in 50 years we talked, locked horns, shared the odd no talkies, sometimes agreed often argued, so many lost opportunities. All the while I was, “My father’s daughter.” Yet in 25 hours we talked, listened, comforted, smiled, cried, held hands, showed affection and even spoke of love and acceptance of what was to come and promises made. No contest Dad, 25 hours verses 50 years, I will take the 25 hours every time. So many new and fond memories and still, “My father’s daughter.”
Love Sue, Garry, Michaela and Tim.

    Dad, you taught me so much;
Good friends will last a lifetime.
We are not always as perfect as others think we should be and so be it.
Words don’t always need to be spoken.
Simple life desires are important and relevant.
Solutions and dreams can be found, imagined or built.
We are never too old to change the things we want or need to change.
Where there is life, you need hope.
Determination can achieve what others say is impossible.
Pig Headedness should have its’ limits.
Acceptance, dignity, gratitude are true virtues.
Life lessons are to be learned and learned from.
Dad to understand you was to accept you and love you unconditionally.
I will look up, smile and miss you always. Kass, Rudi and Everest. XXX
God Bless and keep you always.

Pa, not only have you been a grandfather, you have been a father as well. Thank you for always standing by me. I am forever grateful for our time together. You fought a brave battle, may you now rest in peace.
    I love you always, Bub.

Alan and family would sincerely like to thank all of the ladies at Border Oncology, Dr Del, all the wonderful staff at the Holbrook Hospital and Community Health. Dad wanted to thank you all for your dedication, commitment, professionalism, enduring care, and the respect he received during treatment and while under your care. Not to mention your continuing patience and understanding. We will be eternally grateful to you all.

To Audrey, Phillip, Sue, Kathy & Families, our thoughts are with you all at this very sad time in your lives.
But what a privilege it has been for our family, following the marriage of our son into your family. Many great and beautiful memories of times together especially Christmas and special occasions. This of course will change now and a special person that has always been part of our gatherings is now going to be missing.
You will always be respected inlaws of our son and we will always hold those memories of Alan and your Father dear to us forever.
Our Sincere Sympathy and Love to you all and may your memories give the strenght you need at this moment.
Anna & John Barrat & family.
