McKissack Gordon

28.2.1935 – 2.7.2023

Passed away peacefully at his aged care facility in Thurgoona. Loving husband to Eleanor, father to Dale and Glenn and father-in-law to Chriss. Grandad to Ryan, Kieran, Scott, Laura, Chelsea and Nikki and great grandad to Arlo and Felix.

Twin brother to his much adored sister Eunice in Canada and uncle to her children and their partners, Grant & Penny, Julie & Rob, Andrea & Doug and great uncle to Quinn, Julia, Brooke & Danaka.

A wonderful, loving and adventurous man who celebrated and enjoyed life, experiencing new challenges and making a positive difference to everyone he met. We have beautiful life long memories and hold him forever in our hearts.

 

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend the celebration of Gordon’s life to be held on Thursday 13th July 2023 at St Matthew’s Anglican Church, 520 Kiewa Street Albury, commencing at 1pm. A private cremation will follow.

    Ray and Phyllis Mill would like to offer you our sincere condolences to you and your family on the passing of Gordon.
    I have known Gordon since National Service days at Point Cook in Victoria and also kept up contact in recent years.
    We know of the strong character that Gordon possessed and always appreciated his company.

      Hi Ray and Phyllis,
      Thank you so much for your kind words.
      Gordon loved his Nasho mates and often told us (his sons) about the many experiences you all went through.
      It was fantastic that your group was able to stay in touch over the years and we thank you so much for your friendship with Gordon (and Eleanor).
      We’ve enjoyed looking through all their photos, especially from their late teens/early twenties period.
