Family and friends of the late Mr Russell Post are informed that the celebration of his life will take place at the Chalmers Anglican Church, Mahers Rd Cookardinia on Friday, 10th June 2016, commencing at 10:30am. A burial will follow in the adjacent cemetery.

Passed away at Henty Hospital. Father of Jarrod and Elana. Brother of Valma Toogood.

Firstly please accept my condolences at your loss although from his point of view it may well have been more of a relief considering what has been happening to him in recent times.
I have known Russell as part of the Post family all his life becoming increasingly aware of the Post family involvement in the inception of Cookardinia when in 1844 John Post travelled down from Picton with his bullock wagon and possessions and made camp to stay thereby commencing the Cookardinia District. Since then over the years the Post family and blood relations have been involved in many successful Cookardinia district activiities.

I will always have fond memories of my time out at “Pullitop” and at nearby Cookardinia and the Post family gatherings at Christmas and Easter.
Russell will be truly missed.
