John-boy, you held the candle for me when I needed to go to the outside toilet on the farm at Riverside. You comforted me when we watched the roof of our house fall in as it burnt down. You held out your candle for many people who were struggling to see the light in times of darkness. Now the light of Christ is shining on you, our dear brother and friend. I’ll see you at the Lord’s table.
