OXBROW

Joan Heathcote Oxbrow (nee Salau)

One in a million? No. One in 26 million; Must be.

Mum; Nona; Sister; Wife; and now great grandmother, was a true force of nature – Compassionate, funny, brave beyond belief, incredibly creative, generous, long suffering, honest & fearlessly direct, and with a laugh that could carry a crowd.

Nurse, Potter, Community Activist, Reconciliation Advocate, Traveller, Artist, and so, so much more.

We’ve not known the like of her, and we the entire family mourn her passing, but welcome her relief from chronic pain, and treasure mightily the gifts of kindness that Wassim (and staff) of La Maison showed her weekly, Dr Paul Evans, who attended to her at home as required, and the Mercy Hospital Home Care and Palliative teams.

Vale Joan
