Stuart was a hard working, kind bloke with a great sense of humour and an infectious laugh. I remember on an ANZAC DAY having to help remove him from the Wodonga RSL after he had smooched the RSL Sub branch President. On AACAP after a rough week, he cheered me up making outrageous comments about the Boxers physical appearance and lack of skills on the SKY Fight Night broadcast from Scotland. I saw Stuart take responsibility for trade jobs and tasks normally well above a person of his rank and ensure that they were completed well, even though it was stressful for him at times. Stuart was well liked and a real character and I am lucky to have served with him.

Stuart was a great mate and a great soldier. It was a pleasure serving with him and being his section commander. No mater how hard things got on exercise or in East Timor Stu could always crack a smile, let out his well know giggle and get on with the task at hand.

I know that one day I can look forward to seeing him again and he will greet me with a beer in his hand and a great smile on his face. Catch ya later Stu, rest easy brother and see you down the track…..

    Morry.
