    EAST – Mervyn (Jim)
Passed away peacefully aged 92 years surrounded by his loving family. Loved husband of Edna (Dec). Adored father and father-in-law of Doreen and Len (Dec); John and Debra; Phillip (Dec). Cherished Pop of 17 grandchildren and Pa to many great grandchildren.

Will be sadly missed by all

Dad — More than a father, my confidant, my sounding board, my best friend. You have always been there for me, lending a guiding hand and helping me navigate through the intricacies of life. I will be eternally grateful that I was given the greatest father and mentor anyone could wish for. Till we meet again your loving and devoted daughter, Doreen.

Tears fall freely as we remember a gentle, kind and fiercely devoted man who has been like a second father to us and the only grandfather our children have known. We mourn your loss and the void left in our hearts has left a resounding heavy ache. A beautiful soul, never judgmental, always supportive and equipped with a quick wit that you cracked like a whip. Pop you always called a spade a spade and we will be forever blessed to have lived our lives in your shadow. Loved and cherished by Janice, Andy, Rhys, Brady, Alhana and Kellie.

Loved and cherished Pop of Ian and Anna; Monica and Ella.

Your inspiration and determination of life we’ll hold near. You’ll always have a place in our hearts so dear. Loved father-in-law of Dianne. Loved Pop of Jason and Kirsty, Melissa and Damien, Natalie, Mark and Chantel. Great Pop of Cody, Chloe, Jack, Cooper, Zoe, Faith, Lucas, Xavier and Benjamin.
    At Home at Last
    Rest Peacefully

Jim, you were one of life’s true gentleman. This world will be a lonely place without you.
Loved and remembered by the Mc Dermid and Crawford families.
