14.9.1938 – 8.8.2022

Passed away peacefully at Gold Coast Private Hospital. Son of Clayton & Beryl. Dearly loved husband of Maureen. Father & father-in-law of Michele & Peter, Sonya & Michael, Brendan & Troy and Glen & Nicole. Grandfather of Ben, Chelsea, Izac, Zahlia, Clayton & Hunter.

A friend to so many who was always up for a chat, a laugh and a drink!

Funeral to be held at The Albury Club, 519 Kiewa St, Albury NSW 2640 on Friday 19th August 2022 at 1pm. A private burial will be held.

    Deepest condolences to Mausy Michele,Sonia,Brendan,Glen and to all of his extended families and friends.
    I truely respected and loved Mal as your son in law.
    The way Mal treated me into his family and friends made me proud and honoured.
    His advice always welcomed the never ending jokes via text and emails.
    Your many attempts to teach me golf.
    Our on going banter of your beloved Magpies.
    Our family dinners over a many beers and wines.
    Special holidays over the many many years will truely be treasured but not forgotten.

    My heart goes out to all the Hutchison family. I only recall meeting Mel only a few times, but in those times, it was always around the football. I’m a mad Sydney Swans supporter, and as we all know Mel is a Collingwood supporter and I’ll never forget the time that I was able to take him, Brendan and Troy to the football and see the Swans defeat Collingwood not the best day for the Hutchison’s but very memorable for me. I truly think if the MCG was available, you would probably fill it for today’s remembrance. Apologies for not being able to attend.Gone but never forgotten!!

    Please have a drink for me in memory of Mel and enjoy the blue label! Cheers!!
