Absolute top bloke, taught me so much during my apprenticeship. gave up his lunch times to talk to me and answer any questions I had to make sure I fully understood. Will never forget this man and how he showed kindness to me with bit of cheeky humour
Rest easy mate up in Hot rod heaven

Two parts Chevrolet one part Ford my mate You were a work mate and a great friend and a very good tradesman an inspirational teacher with a knowledge that is now lost forever. We will miss our phone chats and our love of cars particularly hot rods. I hope one day to see your pickup on the road and loved by someone who shares your passion. I rang you on Christmas morning and must have just missed you slipping away. Farewell my friend I will miss you greatly and every time I see a Ford rod we will smile and think of you. RIP mate.

Wayno… With your guidance I got my start in Automotive, some great advice and then a more funnelled direction to take my training. Under your teaching I was able to finish my qualification early and then on the outside I got to put my new found learnings to use in a number of ways – new cars during work hours… Hot rods after hours.
I loved all the stories you’d share from New Zealand and the time you took to work with me from school kid to technician. One of my favourite memories from TAFE was when you knew I was good with automatic transmission rebuilds so when it came time to pair up – you paired everyone else with someone and made me do the whole trans rebuild myself!
I know we hadn’t seen each other in such a long time because of the direction our lives took but that doesn’t help me at this time.
    I had not forgotten you… And I won’t forget you…
Thankyou for everything you have done for me over all the years pre-dating trade school, through trade school and for the goals you helped aim for after.
I hope they have a Hot Rod ready for you up there mate, have a beer with those that went before and say g’day Burt Monroe when you find him.
