Dearest Heather, I am so sad to hear of Martin’s passing. My memories of you meeting Martin, your courtship, wedding and the joy when each of your children arrived, is fresh in my mind and I know how much you will miss him. Martin’s generosity of spirit, his gentle nature and wonderful and quirky sense of humour, bring a smile whenever I think of him. Your sadness presently must feel overwhelming. Allow yourself to grieve his passing, but in time try also to remember all the countless happy memories you made together over your many years together.
Dear Geoff, David and Ann, I was away from the area during your primary school years, but I know you have grown into fine young adults of whom your Dad was very proud. I know you will miss him greatly and my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time. It is natural that you will miss him forever, but you too will have countless memories of happier times to draw strength from.
    With love and deepest sympathy

    Martin,
Your life one of commitment and strength and the love that you gave was evident in everything that you did. You touched so many with your warmth and humanity during your life. You will live on for eternity in the hearts of those that you touched.

To know you was a privilege and an honour sir.

With my deepest sympathy to all those who have known you and your family.
