Family and friends of the late Mr William James (Joe) Smart are invited to attend the celebration of his life which will be held at St Matthew’s Church, Kiewa Street, Albury on Wednesday May 9th 2018, commencing at 2pm. Private cremation.

Passed away suddenly at Albury Base Hospital with family by his side. Dearly loved husband of Fay. Cherished father of Joanne, Phillip, Michelle, Toni and their families.

Hello Fay, I was shocked to read of Joe’s death, when I returned home from Warrnambool, last Sunday night. Our friendship of over 30 years was appreciated by me. He made friends easily and what’s more, kept them. I apologise for my non attendance at his funeral, as I have an appointment on Wednesday. Geelong has lost another great supporter.
To Fay and family. Joe was my first employer when I left school. He was a great man and also you and all the family. He will be greatly missed. He always said hello when I saw him shopping.
