To dear Madge, David, Colin and Kaylene and families
      .
What a tremendous man Bruce was and how enriched and fortunate you all are to have had him as a husband, father and granddad.
He was such a wonderful role model to you all.
Bruce was so giving of his time,, love and thoughtfulness….alway caring in his own quiet way.
He was a true blue “aussie farmer” wih a dry sense of humor….always seeing the bright side of life.
Rob and I have treaured his friendship throughout the 33 years we knew him….
Always there to help fence, pull calves, fix tractors… you name it… and Bruce was leading the troops through the delimas of farming.
When l think of you Bruce….. it will be with fondness and you’ll be with your beloved Akubra hat on and that smiling face….just like the tribute photo.
Remember everyone…. he isn’t gone, it’s just that you can’t hear or touch him….but he is there, walking with you every day and watching over you as your guardian angel.
He was a shooting star in life and still shines brightly in your lives forever
      Love you guys
      Robyn

When we think of our childhood it is always coloured by the adults we respected most. Bruce was one of the selfless individuals who demonstrated to us by example that a person can find beauty and enjoyment in the smallest of pleasures. When I last saw him a few weeks ago, we spoke of riding horses and flooded rivers, of “breaking his back” to get the tennis courts at Towong concreted, of his love for Madge and his family and his connection to the Upper Murray. His infectious laugh had not deserted him and his eyes still twinkled with cheeky mischief. He filled our childhood with light and the world now feels empty without him. Vale “Brucey”.
Love and sympathy to Madge, Kaylene, Colin and David and their families
